Tamar Sagiv, Cello and Vladimir Rumyantsev, Piano performing cello sonatas by Shostakovich, Prokofiev and Poulenc
Join us on October 11th at 3 pm for an afternoon of sublime music composed by giants of the 20th century - Shostakovich, Prokofiev and Poulenc, performed by award-winning young virtuosi. Cellist, composer, and recording artist Tamar Sagiv received the Zubin Mehta Certificate of Honour, and has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Israel, Germany, and at Lincoln Center. She is recognized as a powerful new voice in contemporary classical music. Pianist and recording artist Vladimir Rumyantsev’s appearances with the Moscow Philharmonic, and at Carnegie Hall, Covent Garden, New York City Center, the Kennedy Center, and the Bolshoi Theatre have won him an international following. He recently toured the world as a solo artist with Twyla Tharp Dance for her Diamond Jubilee.
