Soup Night & Readings

    • Thu, 05/01/2025
  • 150 Water Street, Catskill, NY 12414

Thursday, May 1st

Join us for the final soup night of the year!

This evening will support Northern Spy, our monthly literary series dedicated to bringing outstanding writers to our village — free and open to all.

On Thursday, we’ll gather for a cozy night of soup and stellar readings.
We’re thrilled to welcome Greg Jackson, author of The Dimensions of a Cave (named a Best Book of 2023 by The New Yorker) and Prodigals. His fiction and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Granta, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and beyond.

We’ll also hear from Allyson Paty, author of Jalousie (Tupelo Press, forthcoming), winner of the 2023 Berkshire Prize, and several chapbooks including Five O’Clock on the Shore. Allyson is a co-founding editor of Singing Saw Press and teaches at NYU Gallatin and with NYU’s Prison Education Program.

Come hungry, come curious — we can’t wait to see you there!
