Now in its 8th year, the Mountain Top Earth Day Celebration has become a staple of the local community calendar. The day begins at 9 AM at Fromer’s Market Garden with a Spring Garden Workshop from Cornell Cooperative, followed by opening remarks at the Mountain Top Library around 10:15 by local officials and event organizers. Robinson’s Wildlife Presentation—featuring live raptors, owls, snakes, and more—runs from 1 PM to 2 PM, closing out the event.
New this year is a special presentation by local author and artist Matt Bua, along with a solar-powered “Home-Spun Merry Go Round” by Al Gori. Additional highlights include interactive exhibits, tables from local environmental organizations, collaborative art projects, free seeds, the Rip Van Winkle Magic Garden, safety demonstrations, and a bake sale.
This day is for everyone on the mountaintop—an opportunity to come together, celebrate its unique beauty, and help protect and preserve what makes our home so special.
