The beloved tradition continues at the Zadock Pratt Museum with its annual Victorian Tea fundraiser on Saturday, September 13th. Guests are invited to enjoy an afternoon of elegance while supporting the museum’s programs, with three seating times available: 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:30 pm.
Held in the beautifully decorated 1800s drawing and sitting rooms of the museum, the Victorian Tea has become a much-anticipated event for the Prattsville community and beyond. “This is an event people in and around Prattsville look forward to each year. It’s also a great way to get to know your local museum that offers programs to engage and educate people of all age groups,” says organizer Lisa Birnbaum, who coordinates the event alongside her husband Stephen, the museum’s president. While the atmosphere is refined, guests are encouraged to attend as they are—though dressing up in Victorian-inspired or elegant attire is always welcome.
The menu features delicacies inspired by the Victorian era, including a light meal of finger sandwiches and desserts, all served with bone china and linen tablecloths.
Tickets are $35 per person, and advance reservations are required, as space is limited.
