“Underneath It All” Curator Tour
Friday, June 27th @ 2pm
The Bronck Museum is excited to present its first Curator’s Tour of the 2025 season on Friday, June 27. Titled “Underneath It All,” this unique program will delve into what women wore—or chose not to wear—beneath their elaborate gowns. Women in period dress will model both outerwear and the undergarments used to shape and support evolving fashion trends between 1775 and 1865. The tour will also feature historic examples from the museum’s collection, while Curator Shelby Mattice offers insight into how these garments affected women’s daily lives, both socially and physically.
