On this guided walk, we’ll explore traditional spring tree medicines such as sassafras, slippery elm, sycamore, and more. Along the way, you'll learn about commonly known medicinal uses of Northeastern native trees, many of which were historically shared with settler communities. The program concludes with a tasting of teas made from native tree species. Out of respect for Indigenous knowledge, culturally sensitive medicines and preparations will not be discussed.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
