    • Sat, 06/13/2026
  • 218 Spring St, Catskill, NY 12414

June 13 from 11 am–2 pm.

Learn and make!

Are you a collector of little things? Are you endlessly picking up rocks, shells, and natural objects on walks outside? Join us for our next Second Saturday Workshop at Thomas Cole House to make your own handmade curio container for your trinkets and found objects.

Participants will tour the historic Main House to view Thomas Cole’s Box of Minerals and Artifacts in the newly opened Richard Sharp Gallery. Learn about 19th century collecting practices, followed by making in the Storehouse.

All ages welcome; families encouraged to attend.

About Second Saturdays: The Second Saturdays series presents monthly making activities inspired by the themes of the Thomas Cole Site’s historic property and special exhibitions on view.
