Join us at Bridge Street Theatre for Monsters of the American Cinema by Christian St. Croix, directed by Tony Speciale
A powerful and deeply moving drama that explores what it means to stand your ground when family bonds are tested. After inheriting a drive-in theater and becoming guardian to his late husband’s teenage son, Remy—a Black, gay man—begins to build a delicate connection with Pup through their shared love of classic monster films. But when Remy discovers Pup’s harsh bullying of a gay classmate, their fragile relationship is shaken, forcing them both to confront the darker forces of prejudice, grief, and moral compromise. Haunting yet compassionate, this thought-provoking play examines the blurred lines between right and wrong—and the monsters that exist beyond the screen.
Bridge Street Theatre is a vibrant nonprofit performing arts venue and creative hub housed in a beautifully renovated industrial building in the Village of Catskill.
