Join local bird expert and former Greene Land Trust Board member Larry Federman for a morning bird walk at the Mawignack Preserve.
We'll look for colorful songbirds returning from the Neotropics—like gnatcatchers, warblers, orioles, and tanagers—along with year-round favorites such as Eastern Bluebirds, Waxwings, and Bald Eagles. Along the way, we’ll also enjoy blooming wildflowers, flowering trees, and other natural highlights. Participants will learn bird identification tips and how to use field guides and apps.
Bring binoculars if you have them—extras will be available. The walk is open to ages 8 and up and limited to 20 participants.
