Dive into the Past: Late Summer Nature Walk

    • Sat, 08/30/2025
  • 408 Lake Mills Road, Cairo, NY 12431

Join us on Saturday, August 30th 10-11:30 am for a guided walk through the forests, wetlands, and meadows of our Eco Camp as we step back in time to imagine life in the Hudson Valley five centuries ago. In the Late Woodland period, Native peoples were harvesting corn, gathering wild fruits, fishing, swimming, and spending time together in community. Along the trail, each plant, animal, and stone will help tell the story of their daily lives and traditions, while also connecting us to the displaced Lenape communities of today. Please wear sturdy, comfortable footwear for the journey.
