Curator Tour "Bits and Pieces"
On Friday, September 19 at 2 PM, the Bronck Museum will present its third Curator’s Tour of 2025, “Bits and Pieces,” highlighting quilts from the museum’s permanent collection spanning the 1770s to 1900. Beyond their practical role in warming early American beds, quilts reveal much about their makers—showcasing artistry and needlework, reflecting family wealth and community ties, and even carrying symbolic, protective, or political meaning. Like many artifacts, these quilts offer fascinating and sometimes unexpected insights into the worlds from which they came.
