Baye and Asa Open Rehearsal: At the Altar Tickets & Info
Catskill Mountain Foundation, in partnership with Works & Process at the Guggenheim, presents a free open rehearsal of Baye & Asa’s new work, At the Altar, at the Orpheum Performing Arts Center in Tannersville. This evening-length piece explores cultural, religious, and political deities, asking who and what we worship while examining the dangers of extreme idolatry and our collective search for survival and salvation.
Directed and choreographed by Amadi “Baye” Washington and Sam “Asa” Pratt, Baye & Asa have presented work at leading venues including The Joyce Theater, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Jacob’s Pillow, and the Guggenheim, and were named Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch.”
The open rehearsal will be followed by a discussion.
