Join Susan Fox Rogers for a talk and walk exploring early women bird watchers—from those protecting Great Egrets to Chimney Swifts in Iowa and Prairie Chickens in Wisconsin. These inspiring women show how small actions can make a big difference. Susan will then lead a short bird walk where participants can share sightings and sounds.
Susan is a writer, birder, teacher, and adventurer. Her books My Reach: A Hudson River Memoir and Learning the Birds: A Mid-life Adventure explore nature, history, and personal journeys. Copies will be available for sale. Registration is free for members, $10 for non-members, and required.
