Visible Mending Workshop with Katrina Rodabaugh
Saturday, June 20th, 2-5 pm
Join us for a special 3-hour workshop with Hudson Valley textile artist and author Katrina Rodabaugh. Learn to creatively repair and personalize garments using hand-stitching techniques, with materials provided from our own sustainable fabric remnants—including deadstock, natural fibers, and vintage treasures.
Bring a woven garment or textile to mend (denim, cotton, linen, etc.) and enjoy light refreshments during a break, with the option to meet our cofounder Sergio Guadarrama and tour our upstairs factory. Students will leave with a mending project in progress, a resource booklet, and new skills in visible mending.
Basic stitching experience recommended.
Materials and shared tools provided.

About Katrina:
Author of Mending Matters and Make Thrift Mend, Katrina explores sustainability through fiber art. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Selvedge, and more.
