Pollinator Walk with Chris Layman
Join Chris Layman of Fox Farm Apiary for a guided walk at Brandow Point on Sunday, July 27, 3–4 pm. Starting at the kiosk, the walk will conclude with a close-up look at honeybees in action. Along the way, Chris will share insights into the lives of both native and non-native bees, the plants they rely on, and the shifting ecology of the Hudson River Valley.
Chris is a Cornell Master Beekeeper who teaches bee ecology and habitat restoration throughout the upper Hudson Valley and Catskill region. He leads educational programs at Olana State Historic Site, Greene Land Trust, Woodstock Land Conservancy, Dutchess Land Conservancy, Catskill Center, and Catskill Mountain Keeper. Chris and his partner Lisa run Fox Farm Apiary in Hannacroix, NY.
