Plateau, Sugarloaf, Twin & Indian Head Winter Hike
Northern Catskills Guided Winter Hike
Saturday, January 31, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Take on one of the Catskills’ most challenging and rewarding winter routes with this 12.6-mile trek along the eastern Devil’s Path. This difficult hike features fun scrambles, stunning mountain views, and over 4,000 feet of elevation gain. Expect a moderate pace with steep climbs, short breaks, and a full-day adventure that may finish after dark.
Participants must be prepared for winter conditions and bring proper gear including snowshoes, traction aids, warm layers, food, water, and headlamps. This hike is limited to 12 participants and requires advance registration. For the most up-to-date details, trip updates, and important safety information, participants should review the Catskill Mountain Club website prior to the hike.
Meeting Location: Prediger Road Trailhead (Platte Clove Rd)
Meet ready to shuttle by 8:00 AM
Note: Eastern Platte Clove Road is closed for winter.
