Join us for a guided plant walk through the historic grounds and gardens, led by Hudson Valley herbalist Dina Falconi. Discover the edible and medicinal plants growing on-site—many of which once inspired botanical artist Emily Cole.
Dina Falconi is a clinical herbalist, educator, and author with over 30 years of experience in wild food foraging, herbal medicine, and natural body care. She is the creator of Falcon Formulations and Earthly Extracts, and offers courses at InTheWild.Kitchen. She is the author of Foraging & Feasting: A Field Guide and Wild Food Cookbook and Earthly Bodies & Heavenly Hair: Natural and Healthy Personal Care for Everybody. Foraging & Feasting is available for purchase at the Cole Center.
The Thomas Cole National Historic Site is the former home of Hudson River School of Art founder, Thomas Cole. Located in the village of Catskill, the house, called Cedar Grove, and Cole's studio are open for tours, events, and workshops throughout the year.
