Dosa Making Workshop

    • Sat, 06/01/2024
  • 4470 Route 32, Catskill, NY 12414

Join us for an immersive Dosa-making workshop where you'll uncover the art of fermenting grains and beans using natural fermentation agents, all while crafting delicious and nutritious snacks.

But what exactly is a dosa? It's a South Indian crepe crafted from a blend of rice and black beans naturally fermented with fenugreek. This beloved Indian delicacy is not only easy on the stomach but also packs a punch of healthy protein. Throughout the workshop, you'll master the preparation, fermentation, and cooking techniques for these delectable dosas, which are both compact and bursting with flavor. Learn how to pair them with complementary foods for a wholesome meal experience.

Indulge in freshly prepared dosas paired with Atina condiments during the workshop, and depart with a recipe in hand along with a batch of dosa mix, ready to recreate these delights in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Led by Suresh Pillai, whose culinary prowess hails from the rich traditions of Kerala, South India, this workshop presented by Atina Foods promises an enriching experience. Join us in our certified commercial kitchen nestled within our serene farm property, and seize the opportunity to embark on a farm tour and explore the offerings at our Atina Home Store.

This workshop is designed for adults, with any level of fermentation or cooking experience.
