Bronck Museum Curator’s Tour - Before Martha - cooking methods of the past
The Bronck Museum is excited to present the second Curator’s Tour of the 2025 season, happening this Friday, July 25, starting at 2 pm.
Titled “Before Martha” (yes, Stewart), this tour delves into the cooking techniques, tools, and daily challenges of meal preparation from the 1660s through the 1830s. Guests will visit three historic hearths across the Bronck farmstead to explore how fireplaces, utensils, and kitchen "innovations" evolved over time.
