Spring and summer are ideal seasons for birdwatching, as many native species have either completed their migrations or are passing through the region. Our guide, Larry Federman, brings more than 20 years of experience with the Audubon Society in the Catskills. He’ll lead the group in learning how to identify bird calls, spot activity in the wild, and explore techniques for attracting and supporting local bird populations.
This limited seasonal experience often sells out.
On past walks, participants have spotted Pileated Woodpecker nestlings, Prairie Warblers, Indigo Buntings, Scarlet Tanagers, Baltimore Orioles, and many other species.
