In 2023, we celebrated the 100th anniversary since our Inn first opened its doors. Brian and Bernadette, third-generation Innkeepers of the Gavin family since 1961, continue our legacy. Our all-inclusive package has long been a staple, encompassing accommodations, meals, activities, and events. Pool Bar open most days from 12-8 pm. We have recently expanded with “Nellie’s” in East Durham, featuring a Restaurant, Pub, Gift Shop, Bakery, and a Party Room accommodating over 60 guests. Nellie’s is a favored outdoor dining spot during the warmer months and offers two suite-accommodation units. We continuously evolve with the changing trends in the Catskills and are currently developing new concepts to engage the next generation of guests. Shamrock House Oktoberfest 2026 with DSB die Schlauberger

The fun kicks off Friday with German themed pub trivia at 6:30pm, followed by DJ and karaoke with Pat Del at 9pm. Saturday is the main event, with live entertainment on The Shamrock House’s indoor stage. The Adlers Band opens at 2pm, and Alpenland Taenzer Schuhplattler brings traditional German dancing at 3:30pm and again at 6:30pm. Then comes the moment many have been waiting for. At 7pm, DSB die Schlauberger, billed as America’s #1 German rock band, hits the stage. Wrap up the weekend at the Sunday Session, starting at 1pm. Make the most of your Oktoberfest weekend by soaking in the fall foliage across the Great Northern Catskills. Stay right at The Shamrock House or explore other nearby lodging options, and turn one great night out into a full autumn getaway.

East Durham Irish Festival

Celebrate Irish and Irish American culture at the 49th Annual East Durham Irish Festival, returning to East Durham over Memorial Day Weekend in 2027. One of the longest-running Irish festivals in the United States, this beloved Catskills tradition brings thousands of visitors together for a weekend filled with live Irish music, traditional dance, cultural performances, food, and family-friendly fun. The festival features multiple stages with live performances throughout the weekend, along with the opening of the historic Donegal Cottage at the Michael J. Quill Irish Cultural & Sports Centre. From traditional Irish music and dance to lively pipes and drums, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. 2027 dates, performance schedule, ticket information, and additional details will be announced as they become available.
