Joust is an organic juice bar and plant forward café that was started by Lauren and Devin Tanchum. The concept is based on a compilation of food rituals and rhythms they encountered as vegetarians while living and traveling through California, New York, Oregon, Italy, Spain, Israel, Patagonia, and South Africa.
Since opening in 2021, Joust has evolved into various artistic collaborations centered on wellness programming and vegan fine dining; hosting a monthly Detox program of curated meals with Breathe Rhinebeck, as well as the formation of the Terreno Collective, a reliable pop-up dinner production company and marketplace created by local chefs, farmers, and artists based in the Hudson Valley.
Joust is very much an expression of our appreciation for ceremonies around food, sound, movement and the magic of building community.
