Talk by Town Historian Ted Hischer: “1776: New Baltimore, The Coxsackie Declaration, and Philip Conine Jr.”

New Baltimore Town Historian Ted Hilscher will present “1776: New Baltimore, The Coxsackie Declaration, and Philip Conine Jr.” on Saturday, September 12, at 2 PM at New Baltimore Town Hall on County Route 51.

Hilscher will explore New Baltimore’s early settlement, its connection to Coxsackie until 1811, the contentious revolutionary movement in the Hudson Valley, and the 1775 Coxsackie Declaration. He will also highlight the Revolutionary War activities of local patriot leader Philip Conine.

Admission is free and open to the public. The talk is co-sponsored by the Town of New Baltimore, New Baltimore Conservancy, and Greene County Historical Society.
