Join The Lisette Project for a powerful musical exploration of revolutionaries in Haiti, France, and the United States who stood at the edges of freedom’s promise. Through chamber music, anthem parodies, vaudeville tunes, and sacred music, the program creates a sonic landscape of the Revolutionary Atlantic while exploring the evolving boundaries of freedom envisioned by the Declaration of Independence. Founded in 2021 by artistic director Jean Bernard Cerin, The Lisette Project is a performance and research collective that explores the history of Haitian classical music and its connections to broader global currents.
