For more than 240 years, seven generations of the Hull family have farmed the land at Hull-O Farms, a National Bicentennial Farm in the Northern Catskills. Today, this 300-acre working farm offers authentic farm stays, family experiences, locally raised foods, and one of the Catskills’ last true pheasant preserves.
As a New York State licensed Class A pheasant preserve, Hull-O Farms offers guided pheasant hunting without requiring a hunting license. The preserve is known for high-flying, flight-conditioned birds, professional guides, varied terrain, and a long history of successful hunts. Hunters can also pursue fair-chase wild white-tailed deer and eastern wild turkey, with packages available for groups, retreats, and sporting weekends.
Families can experience life on a working farm through private guest house stays, farm tours, animal encounters, hayrides, campfires, and seasonal activities. Daily tours at 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. include opportunities to milk cows, bottle-feed lambs, gather eggs, and hand-feed farm animals. Guests staying on the farm receive a complimentary breakfast basket featuring farm-fresh eggs, homemade pancake mix, and locally crafted maple syrup.
Visitors can also stop by the Hull-O Farms farm store for farm-raised and locally produced goods, including all-natural meats. Whether you’re planning a Catskills farm stay, a family adventure, a guided pheasant hunt, or looking to bring home a taste of the region, Hull-O Farms offers a genuine connection to Catskills farming traditions.
