The Greene County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs is a cornerstone of outdoor sporting tradition in the Great Northern Catskill Mountains, supporting youth hunting and fishing programs across Greene County, including annual turkey, pheasant, and deer hunts, youth fishing and ice fishing derbies, and a youth shooting program at Norton Hill Wildlife trap range. The Federation also stocks trout in local waters and has contributed over 7 acres of habitat improvements countywide.
Equally committed to honoring those who have served, the Federation organizes Wounded Veterans Turkey and Bear hunts with a 90% success rate, while also providing Hunter Education classes, safe gun handling demonstrations — making them a vital resource for hunting and fishing in the Great Northern Catskills.
