Artist Bio: Tasha Depp left Virginia for New York City to study at the Cooper Union School of Art, earning her BFA in painting, and later completed her MFA at Rutgers University. A 1991 residency at the Kanoria Center in Ahmedabad, India, deepened her commitment to uncertainty and “not knowing.” After a transformative Cape Cod dune shack residency, she moved from NYC to the Catskills.
Depp now lives in Kiskatom, where she gardens and maintains a barn studio. She teaches with Rehabilitation Through the Arts at Fishkill Correctional Facility and teaches in correctional and college programs through Columbia-Greene Community College.
