Hunter Mountain Resort

Hunter Mountain is considered a four-season destination in the Great Northern Catskills, offering adventure year-round for visitors of all ages and skill levels. Home to 320 skiable acres, a 1,600-foot vertical drop, and snowmaking on 100% of the mountain, it’s renowned as the “Snowmaking Capital of the World.” Recent enhancements include nine new trails and a new high-speed six-person chairlift, making it easier than ever to explore the mountain.

Winter visitors can enjoy downhill skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, and award-winning ski and ride schools. While summer brings Scenic Skyride Rides to the 3,200-foot summit & the Hunter Mountain Fire Tower, off-road adventures, hiking and popular seasonal festivals celebrating music, food, and the outdoors.

Hunter Mountain Homecoming Weekend Ski Swap

Kick off fall in the Great Northern Catskills at Hunter Mountain’s Homecoming Weekend & Ski Swap with a full weekend of mountain fun! On Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27th riders and visitors can take in Catskills fall foliage aboard the Scenic SkyRide, running both days from 9am to 4pm, then head to the annual Ski Swap on Saturday from 10am to 2pm, with equipment drop-off starting at 9am, for the best deals on gear before the season starts. A live DJ plays Saturday from 10am to 2pm, and the Tap Bar and Scottie’s Food Truck keep guests fed and refreshed all weekend. The Tap Bar opens Saturday 11am to 5pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm, and Scottie’s food truck will be serving both days from 11am to 4pm. Celebrate the beauty of autumn at Hunter Mountain Oktoberfest: Colors in the Catskills, returning for three weekends this October. Enjoy vibrant fall foliage, live entertainment, Bavarian-inspired food, local craft beverages, artisan vendors, and family-friendly activities at one of the Great Northern Catskills’ most popular fall festivals. Each themed weekend offers something unique! From the vibrant First Leaves celebration to an authentic Oktoberfest experience and a festive Costume Takeover weekend. Take in breathtaking mountain views aboard the Scenic SkyRide, cheer on crowd-favorite competitions like steinholding, keg rolling, costume contests, and the Doxie Derby, all while enjoying live entertainment throughout the day. Festival admission is free. Scenic SkyRide tickets and VIP Packages are available for purchase.
