Hudson River Interpretive Trail (HRIT)

Hudson River Interpretive Trail (HRIT)

Explore a unique corner of the Hudson River at Hannacroix Creek Preserve. This easy, family-friendly trail winds through a tidal marsh on elevated boardwalks, passes historic ice house ruins, and crosses the world’s first bridge built from recycled plastic lumber before ending at an overlook where Hannacroix Creek meets the Hudson River.

Part of a larger preserve featuring multiple trails and diverse wildlife habitats, the HRIT offers a memorable blend of nature, history, and scenic river views.
