Location: The Spruceton Inn a Catskill Bed & Bar. Located five miles down a quiet seven-mile dead-end road in the heart of the Catskills, the property offers a secluded, immersive setting where Steven lives on-site and paints many of his scenes directly from the grounds; guest rooms are housed in the Inn’s nine-room motel-style building.
A typical retreat begins Friday evening with welcome drinks, introductory instruction, and a sunset plein air session; Saturday includes sunrise painting, breakfast, continued guidance, lunch, and independent assignments in the late afternoon and evening; Sunday features breakfast, a hike to nearby falls for a final painting session, and a closing wrap-up.
$999 rate includes accommodation for 2 nights, 2 breakfasts and 1 lunch, plus $100 worth of supplies from beloved local shop Catskill Art Supply.
