Guided Stargazing Walk

Starlore Night invites visitors to experience the Great Northern Catskills after dark on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 8:00–10:00pm. Led by Greene Land Trust Stewardship Manager Justin Wexler, this guided evening of stargazing explores constellations and their cultural significance to Northeastern Native Peoples, all while the Perseid meteor shower brings the chance of shooting stars overhead. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or folding chair and wear sturdy walking shoes for a short hillside walk to the viewing site. Cloud/rain date: Saturday, August 15, 8:00–10:00pm.

Hosted at Riedlbauer’s Resort, this two-day event celebrates traditional hot rods and customs, vintage drag racing, motorcycles, and stock vehicles pre-1962 — with authenticity strictly enforced.
