Sewing Workshop

Join us for a two-hour hands-on sewing workshop with Charles Bannon, a courageous LGBTQIA+ activist and original member of the Albany-area Gay Liberation Front. Participants will learn basic garment repair skills, including hemming, repairing ripped seams, and making simple alterations. Bring one item of clothing in need of basic repair to work on during the workshop.

A retired wardrobe professional with a long career in New York City and local theater, Bannon will share his sewing expertise along with stories from his experiences with the Gay Liberation Front. The workshop is open to members of the Queer and Trans community and allies.
