Join us Sunday, November 8, from 1–3:30 PM for a hands-on workshop exploring how to make paint from common invasive species, including Toringo crabapple and multiflora rose. Through mini presentations and paint-making activities, discover new ways to work with these plants while acknowledging their ecological impacts. Explore color samples from 30 invasive and non-native plant species and weeds, learn about Toringo crabapple’s history in Japan, and discover the connection between local farms and grassland bird habitats. Participants will take home a bottle of plant pigment and a list of affordable, recycled materials to continue making paint at home.
