Northern Spy is back with an exciting reading for October! We’re thrilled to host our long-time friend Mikko Harvey, alongside the celebrated Matthew Zapruder, who’s launching his new book.

Matthew Zapruder is the author of six poetry collections, including the forthcoming I Love Hearing Your Dreams from Scribner in September 2024, as well as two prose books: Why Poetry (Ecco, 2017) and Story of a Poem (Unnamed, 2023). He serves as editor at large at Wave Books, where he curates contemporary poetry, prose, and translations. Previously, he was the Editor of the Poetry Column for the New York Times Magazine (2016-2017) and the Editor of Best American Poetry 2022. Matthew teaches in the MFA in Creative Writing program at Saint Mary’s College of California.

Mikko Harvey is the author of Let the World Have You (House of Anansi, 2022) and Unstable Neighbourhood Rabbit (House of Anansi, 2018). A graduate of Vassar College and The Ohio State University, Mikko has received the RBC/PEN Canada New Voices Award and the Philip Booth Poetry Prize, along with fellowships from MacDowell and Yaddo. He currently resides in Western Massachusetts.
