Calling all witches, wizards, goblins, and creatures of questionable origin… The castle doors are open, and we’re inviting you to show off your Halloween finest at Storybrook Hollow’s Costume Contest on Friday, October 30, 5-7 pm!

Come dressed to impress, frighten, amuse, or thoroughly confuse us. Whether your costume is fit for royalty or looks like something that crawled out of the dungeon, we want to see it. We’ll be handing out two awards: Best Dressed and Most Creative Costume, with winners chosen by YOU, our guests! Fantastic prizes await!
While you’re here, enjoy a brew at our award-winning Fuggly Duckling Tavern, wander through our Haunted Castle, and explore the wonderfully peculiar treasures in our gift shop.

Castle Brewery

Castle Brewery is the region’s only castle-based brewery. Yes, that’s right – the brewery is a castle. As a NYS farm brewery Storybrook Hollow uses the best locally grown ingredients from across the Hudson Valley to bring you a tantalizing variety of charmingly old fashioned beers and ciders. These small batch artisan creations, combining ancient recipes with modern eco-conscious technology, are all finished with a delightfully tongue-in-cheek fairy tale twist. Even the bar itself is part of the experience, as our castle boasts a rustic stone tavern affectionately known as the Fuggly Duckling (named for the “fuggle”, a distinctive brewing hop). The castle hosts a series of holiday-themed experiences throughout the year and is available for bookings of weddings, showers, birthdays, and other special events. So stop by the castle tavern and grab a tankard of our finest ale…it’ll be an experience fit for a king.

Holiday Wreath Making Class at Meadowbrook Farm Catskills

Join Meadowbrook Farm Catskills for a hands on holiday wreath class where everyone makes their own wreath to take home. This is an instructional class, so if you only want to decorate a premade wreath, it may not be the right fit. Trust us, you can do it, and you will want to come back next year. The class is $75 per person and includes a vine wreath base, an assortment of greens, up to five yards of ribbon, and decorations. A $20 per person deposit, which is nonrefundable, holds your spot, with the balance due the day of the class. The Greene County Youth Fair 2027

Held each year in July, the Greene County Youth Fair is one of very few fairs around the country that offers free admission and entertainment for all ages. The fair is a celebration of the talents of Greene County’s youth, enabling them to strive for higher goals and receive encouragement for their efforts. The fair is family oriented and offers kids of all ages exciting music, displays and entertainment, along with hands-on agricultural education!
