Join us on Sunday, October 19th at Thomas Cole Site for a Harvest Festival with brews, apple cider donuts, tarot card readings, artist and shop pop-ups, costumed trick-or treating in the house for kids, and more. 

1-2 pm - free trick-or treating 

2-3 pm - Join Wild Hudson Valley for Those That Sustain Us: A History of Northeastern Native Agriculture. Northeastern Native Peoples carry a millennia-long tradition of plant cultivation. Join us for a table and walk exploring the history and practices of regional Native agriculture, from the early Eastern Agricultural Complex to today’s Lenape and Haudenosaunee communities. Tickets: $20

3-3:30 pm - Guided Tour. Experience Cedar Grove, now the Thomas Cole National Historic Site, in the crisp autumn season that once inspired both joy and reflection. This tour of the 1815 Main House highlights 19th-century fall traditions—from quilting and frolics to reading, letter writing, and evenings by the fire—framed by the Catskills’ brilliant autumn landscape that so deeply moved Thomas Cole. Tickets: $5

Thomas Cole National Historic Site

The Thomas Cole National Historic Site is the former home of Hudson River School of Art founder, Thomas Cole. Located in the village of Catskill, the house, called Cedar Grove, and Cole's studio are open for tours, events, and workshops throughout the year.
