This summer the Village of Catskill will hold a special celebration for America 250.

Thursday, July 2 – Music in the Park & Fireworks
Join us at 7 PM for a patriotic band performance by HOCA, followed by a fireworks display at dusk, presented by the village and town of Catskill. The NYS Bridge Authority will keep the Hudson River Skywalk sidewalk open for viewers to enjoy the show.

Friday, July 3 – America 250 Ceremony & Celebration
Starting at 3 PM, Main Street in Catskill will be closed for the celebration. At 5 PM, a ceremony will feature the dedication of a REV 250 plaque, the filling of a time capsule, a gun salute, cannon firing, flag folding, and performances by Megan Darling, with sound by Mike Ferretti.

From 6–9 PM, enjoy sidewalk sales, outdoor cafés, exhibits, children’s activities, food trucks, and demonstrations from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and local fire departments on Main Street. The NYS Bridge Authority and Greene County Tourism will host family-friendly activities, and flags and decorations will add a patriotic touch throughout the street.
