Join us Saturday, September 26, at Dutchman’s Landing for Cornhole 4 a Cause & Community Festival, a free community event featuring a full day of fun, entertainment, food, and family activities. All funds raised support programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

From 12–3 p.m., watch teams compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the cornhole tournament while also earning points for their Wizarding House in the House Cup competition.

Starting at 3:30 p.m., the festival will feature live music, strolling entertainment, vendors, food, family activities, Diagon Alley, and more. The evening concludes with a spectacular drone show over Dutchman’s Landing at 7:30 p.m.

Whether you’re competing, shopping, grabbing a bite, enjoying the entertainment, or simply spending the day with the community, there’s something for everyone. Come for the cornhole, stay for the magic, and look to the sky!

Dutchman’s Landing Park

With boat launch ramps, BBQ’s, picnic tables, and a playground, the Dutchman’s Landing park at the eastern end of Main Street in Catskill is a great place to spend the day. The park has a large area for activities, and being right on the Hudson River, you can launch your boat or water craft and tour the surrounding areas from the water. Directly across from the park is the noted Olana State Historic Site, and just to the north is the Rip Van Winkle bridge. Plein Air Painting: A Great Northern Catskills Art Experience In Partnership With Thomas Cole

Artists of all ages and skill levels are invited to paint outdoors in the Great Northern Catskills during this plein air painting event at the Mountain Top Historical Society in Haines Falls, presented in partnership with the Thomas Cole National Historic Site. Set up your easel and capture the beauty of the historic campus, featuring a pond, woodlands, historic buildings, a red barn and Ice Age erratic rocks. Artists should bring their own supplies, while a children’s table will offer watercolor palettes and brushes. At 2 p.m., participants are invited to showcase their paintings in the historic 1913 Ulster & Delaware Train Station. The day also includes a special 11 a.m. presentation by Greene County Historian Jonathan Palmer, exploring the Hudson River School of Art, the Catskills and American identity. MORE INFO
