Concert & Dessert Tasting
Join us at Citiot on Friday, March 20th 7-8:30 pm for a concert and dessert tasting.
To celebrate her new album Typuhthâng (“type-of-thing”), vocalist and chocolate entrepreneur Vivienne Aerts performs original songs and shares stories about her work empowering female cocoa farmers in Virunga National Park. Complimentary desserts by Ted Steinebach will introduce guests to the Femmes de Virunga chocolate included with the album.
Vivienne Aerts is a NYC-based Dutch vocalist, educator, psychologist, and Fulbright scholar whose work blends music, mental health, and social impact. A Berklee alumna who has collaborated with jazz greats like Lee Konitz, Kenny Werner, Dave Liebman, and Chris Potter, her award-winning album Typuhthâng (2023) features 100 female musicians and supports Congolese cacao farmers through Original Beans. She also teaches at Berklee College of Music and co-creates interdisciplinary “Vervool” events with pastry chef Ted Steinebach, while preparing her next album Current, produced on a small sailboat.
