The 5th Schoharie Turnpike- Kaaterskill Clove Road Rally

    • Sat, 06/13/2026

Join us for the 5th Kaaterskill Clove Road Rally on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at Dutchman's Landing Park, Catskill NY

We have no trophies, no banquet, just fun and the thrill of driving beautiful roads in good company. We combine automobile history with the experience of touring through the countryside. We have a wide range of cars. All vintages welcome! We start with a breakfast sponsored by Sawyer Chevrolet at Cafe Italia at Dutchman's Landing Park in Catskill. We then follow the Schoharie Turnpike to the Old Stone Fort. Return through Gilboa, Prattsville, and the Kaaterskill Clove. We will be hosted at The Pratt Museum in Prattsville with refreshments. We are also welcomed at the Piano Performance Museum in Hunter.

The birth of automobiling traces back to the 1903 Automobile Endurance Run, when 36 cars and 125 passengers traveled an 800-mile route from the Hudson Valley across the Catskills to Pittsburgh, proving the potential of early automobiles despite mud, flooding, and rough roads. A 2017 pilot rally retraced part of this historic journey along the State Route 28 Corridor, with plans to expand into a multi-state Automobile Heritage Trail that honors early road builders and promotes tourism through the scenic Catskill region.

The event fee is $100 per car.
