Come celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the American Revolution at the Mountain Top Historical Society on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 11 am. Jonathan Palmer, the Greene County Historian, will discuss Greene County’s role in the American Revolution and its connection to the Hudson River School. A slideshow featuring artwork of the Catskill Mountains will highlight how these artists helped shape an American identity rooted in wilderness and nature. The presentation will be held in the historic 1913 Ulster and Delaware Train Station--the last of its kind in Greene County, Address: 5132 Route 23A Haines Falls, NY.
