Ok, so the Great Northern Catskills' golf courses aren't technically secret, you can find them on our Catskills golf courses page, and Google, and there are roads signs pointing you in the right direction so you don't get lost.
It's more of a metaphorical secret. We say "secret" because that's the feeling you get when you're on these courses. You're on the back nine with your best buds, you're playing a great game, or not, and you're in the mountains. No one's on a cell phone, the greens are true and fast, the fairways are in peak condition, and hordes of cleated hooligans haven't hogged every hole for an hour while you waited for your turn.
Golfing in the Catskills is in many ways, a return to the golden age of the game. When Arnie Palmer was earning his nickname as the "King" and mixing up a refreshing-as-hell beverage, and Annika Sorenstam was earning her reputation as the "greatest female golfer of all-time."
