Greene County is home to five ranches and equestrian centers that offer horseback riding over scenic mountain trails, including all-day trips and overnight camping excursions and other Catskills outdoor adventures.
Pony rides and horse-drawn hayrides will thrill the younger kids. Instruction in both Western and English riding is available on an individual basis or in riding camps, and "pony parties" are a great way to celebrate a special birthday.
