Join curator Scott Manning Stevens, PhD / Karoniaktatsie (Akwesasne Mohawk), at 2pm on May 4, 2024, for a discussion on the making of the exhibition Native Prospects: Indigeneity and Landscape, on view at the Thomas Cole National Historic Site from May 4-October 27, 2024.
Dr. Stevens is Associate Professor of Native American Studies and English at Syracuse University, where he is also Director of the Native American and Indigenous Studies Program and Founding Director of the Center for Global Indigenous Cultures and Environmental Justice.
The Thomas Cole National Historic Site is the former home of Hudson River School of Art founder, Thomas Cole. Located in the village of Catskill, the house, called Cedar Grove, and Cole's studio are open for tours, events, and workshops throughout the year.
