North-South Lake

One of the largest and most popular campgrounds in the Catskills Forest Preserve is North-South Lake, located in Haines Falls. One of the two New York State-owned campgrounds in Greene County, North-South Lake offers scenic campsites, lake access and hiking trails connecting to some of the Catskills most historic sites, including Kaaterskill Falls and the former site of the Catskill Mountain House. Over 200 tent and trailer campsites are available, and amenities include beaches, boat access and rentals.

Devil's Tombstone

Devil's Tombstone, located in the mountain town of Hunter, is one of the older campgrounds in the Catskill Forest Preserve, offering both scenic beauty and devilish mystery. Primitive camping is available at 24 lakefront sites, and amenities include nearby hiking trails, boating, fishing and swimming.
