The Kaaterskill Clove is a mountain ravine of picture-postcard beauty and preserved in history by some of America's greatest landscape artists. Dotted with forests, waterfalls and scenic vistas, the Clove is nationally recognized as one of New York State’s premier natural resources. The unique natural geological formation of the Kaaterskill Clove provides visitors from near and far with extensive opportunities for hiking, outdoor recreation activities, and cultural and heritage experiences.

The Kaaterskill Clove Experience is part of the Catskill Mountain Heritage Trail, which extends from the Olana State Historic Site in Hudson (Columbia County) to the Woodchuck Lodge (the summer home of John Burroughs, America’s most prominent and adored naturalist-essaying) located in Roxbury (Delaware County).
