Windham Fine Arts Announces New Exhibit Opening

Newly opened Viewpoints: Ilona Sochynsky, a solo female exhibition informed by Pop, Cubism, Photorealism and Surrealism includes excerpts from a variety of the artist's series (Capriccio, Fetish, Fragments) including her latest circular canvases, Fugues. "With these paintings, I aspire for a state of harmony and to provoke a dreamlike, altered consciousness in the viewer." Artist's Reception 5-7:30 pm Saturday, May 27th in the South Gallery, Windham Fine Arts.
Kaleidoscope offers a new view to still life and abstraction featuring evolutions by Marko Shuhan that push his oil paintings to explore metaphor, illusion, through digital manipulation. Mixed media collages by Maya Farber question what is preconceived and what is created in a still life dialogue. Abstract glassworks by Glenn Abel are illusions of fused and cast glass, mixed media. Introducing Color Field Sculpture by Shelley Parriott, transparent layers play in changing light as miniature interior wall pieces or large-scale installations. Windham Fine Arts, North Gallery extended through June. Parriott's large sculptural installation is on view on the gallery's west front lawn.
Gallery Hours: Friday & Saturday 12-7pm, Sunday 12-4. Scheduled Gallery events posted on the website and social media:
