Celebrate the Greenville Drive-In's 60th Anniversary with SOME LIKE IT HOT with Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis & Jack Lemmon (1959)
The Greenville Drive-In's 60th Anniversary week celebration continues with a screening with the top comedy of 1959, Billy Wilder's SOME LIKE IT HOT starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. After witnessing a Mafia murder, slick saxophone player Joe (Tony Curtis) and his long-suffering buddy, Jerry (Jack Lemmon), improvise a quick plan to escape from Chicago with their lives. Disguising themselves as women, they join an all-female jazz band and hop a train bound for sunny Florida. While Joe pretends to be a millionaire to win the band's sexy singer, Sugar (Marilyn Monroe), Jerry finds himself pursued by a real millionaire (Joe E. Brown) as things heat up and the mobsters close in.
Doors for food, cocktails and lawn games open at 7 pm. Movie programming begins at dusk approximately 8:55 pm. Tickets are $8. For more information, go to drivein32.com
