A Place to Rest is an immersive installation by Pam Poquette and Kirby Crone that explores themes of nature, interior landscapes, embodiment, and comfort.

Featuring Poquette’s soft, stuffed paintings alongside Crone’s soothing abstract works, the exhibition creates a sensory retreat enhanced by ambient guitar and synth sounds that drift through the hallway. Together, these visual and audio elements offer a calming environment that encourages visitors to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and linger in a space designed for rest and reflection.

Installed within a transitional passageway, A Place to Rest transforms the hallway into a welcoming sanctuary of color, texture, and whimsy. Through immersive encounters with the artwork, visitors are invited to engage their senses, reconnect with their inner child, and explore the many ways we experience both objects and ourselves.
