Firas Zreik is a Palestinian kanun (plucked zither) player, composer, and arranger currently based in Brooklyn. Firas received a full scholarship from Berklee College of Music where he studied for five years, earning two bachelor’s degrees in Performance and Jazz Composition. He has worked, recorded and performed with master musicians and artists from all over the world, including Roger Waters, Shankar Mahadevan, Simon Shaheen, Bassam Saba, Amal Murkus, and many others. He has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and the Middle East as a kanun player and as a musical director.  Firas is music director for his mother Amal Murkus, a leading Palestinian singer of international renown, for whom he writes, composes, and performs on many of her recent songs. He will be joined by artists, to be announced.
